What decides your installation cost?

The "from" price is the starting point for a straightforward job. What moves the final figure is knowable in advance — which is why we survey first and quote before any work:

  • Number of indoor units — a single split is the lowest cost; a System 2, 3 or 4 shares one outdoor condenser across more rooms.
  • Standard inverter vs premium tier — premium-tier systems are priced higher, as shown in the table above. We supply and install Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI); the exact model is confirmed at your free quote.
  • Piping run and finishing — extra copper piping beyond the standard run, or concealed trunking for a clean finish, is quoted upfront on the survey.
  • Electrical work — older properties sometimes need an isolator or a dedicated point added; we check this at the survey.
  • Property type — HDB, condo and landed each have their own placement rules for the outdoor unit.

What's included in the installation price

  • Free site survey and BTU recommendation
  • Indoor and outdoor unit mounting on proper brackets
  • Insulated copper refrigerant piping (standard length) and drainage piping
  • Electrical wiring and isolator connection
  • Vacuum, leak test and correct gas charge
  • Full performance test on every unit
  • Removal and disposal of your old units, on request
  • 1-year installation warranty, plus the manufacturer's warranty on the units

Extra copper piping beyond the standard run, concealed trunking, or a new electrical point are quoted upfront at the survey — never added afterwards.

Which system does your home need?

The right configuration depends on how many rooms you want cooled, not just the property size. As a starting guide, confirmed at the free site survey:

  • Single split — one room, such as a bedroom or a study.
  • System 2 — typically a 3-room flat (two bedrooms, or one bedroom plus the living room).
  • System 3 — typically a 4-room flat (two to three bedrooms plus living room).
  • System 4 — a 5-room or executive flat, or a home cooling both bedrooms and living/dining areas.

Do you supply the units, or do I buy them?

Either works. We supply Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) inverter systems at competitive pricing — the brand we recommend for reliability — or we install units you have already bought yourself or online. The installation workmanship carries a 1-year warranty either way, so you are covered regardless of where the unit came from.

HDB, condo or landed

HDB flats have rules that condos and landed homes do not — where the outdoor unit can sit, who is allowed to do the work, and how the piping is run. Installations must be carried out by a BCA-licensed contractor, with the condenser on the flat's designated aircon ledge on proper brackets. We install to HDB guidelines as standard. For BTO, resale and existing-flat specifics, see our HDB aircon installation guide.

Frequently asked questions

How much does aircon installation cost in Singapore?
As a "from" guide at aircons.sg: a single split from $1,200, a System 2 from $2,200, a System 3 from $2,800 and a System 4 from $3,500. Premium-tier systems are priced higher — single split from $1,500, System 2 from $2,800, System 3 from $3,300, System 4 from $4,500. We supply and install Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) inverter systems. The exact figure depends on your property and the piping run, so WhatsApp us for a firm quote after a free site survey.
Is there GST on the installation price?
No. aircons.sg is not GST-registered, so no GST is added on top — the quote you agree to is the price you pay. (aircons.sg is the servicing and installation brand of Larry Contractors Pte Ltd.)
What is included in a standard installation?
A free site survey and BTU recommendation, indoor and outdoor unit mounting on proper brackets, insulated copper refrigerant piping (standard length) and drainage piping, electrical wiring and isolator connection, vacuum, leak test and correct gas charge, a full performance test on every unit, removal and disposal of your old units on request, and a 1-year installation warranty plus the manufacturer's warranty on the units.
Do you install units I bought myself or online?
Yes. Either works — we supply Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) inverter systems at competitive pricing, or we install units you have already bought. The installation workmanship carries a 1-year warranty either way.
What can add to the standard installation price?
Extra copper piping beyond the standard run, concealed trunking, or a new electrical point are quoted upfront at the free site survey — never added afterwards. A premium-tier system also costs more than a standard inverter, as shown in the price table above.
How long does an aircon installation take?
A System 3 or System 4 in a typical flat is usually a full day, including mounting, piping, wiring, vacuum, gas charge and testing. We give a precise timeline after the free site survey.
Do HDB flats have special installation rules?
Yes. For HDB flats the work must be carried out by a BCA-licensed contractor, and the outdoor condenser must sit on the flat's designated aircon ledge on proper brackets — not on the roof or common corridor in most blocks. We handle installations to HDB guidelines as standard. See our dedicated HDB installation page for BTO, resale and existing-flat specifics.
