Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data aircons.sg collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it. aircons.sg is operated by Larry Contractors Pte Ltd (UEN 201623936E), a company registered in Singapore. We follow Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).

In plain English: we ask for the least we need in order to quote and do the job, we use it only to serve you, and we never sell or rent your details to anyone.

What we collect, and why

1. When you use the aircon planner

Our aircon planner asks for your name, Singapore mobile number and, optionally, your email address. We use these only to follow up on that enquiry — to confirm your price and arrange a site survey. We also keep a note of the system and indicative price you were shown, so that when we contact you we already know what you saw.

2. Your floor plan

We do not keep your floor plan. When you upload it, the image is resized in memory and sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to read the room layout and dimensions. The result is returned to your browser. The image is never written to our servers and we hold no copy of it once the page has finished loading.

Please don't upload a plan showing anything you would not want read by a third-party AI service — for example, do not write your name, unit number or NRIC on it. The room layout itself is all we need.

3. When you WhatsApp us

WhatsApp shows us your phone number and the messages you send. Those conversations are carried by WhatsApp (Meta) under their own privacy terms. We keep the conversation so we can service your job and honour your warranty.

4. When you book or we do work for you

To carry out a job we need your name, contact number and service address, plus a record of the work done and payment. We keep job records so we can honour warranties and handle any follow-up service.

5. Basic site measurement

We run a simple counter on our own server so we can see which pages are actually useful and which WhatsApp buttons get clicked. For each visit it records the page you looked at, the page you arrived from, a broad device type (phone / tablet / desktop) and the time.

Instead of storing your IP address, it stores a scrambled visitor code that changes every day. That lets us count how many people visited without being able to identify you or follow you from one day to the next. It sets no cookies, makes no third-party requests, and the data stays on our own server.

We do not use Google Analytics, and we do not use the Facebook/Meta Pixel. There is no advertising tracker on this site and we do not build an advertising profile of you.

6. Preventing abuse of the planner

The planner costs us money each time it runs, so we limit how many plans one visitor can request per day. To do that we store a scrambled (one-way hashed) version of your network address together with a daily counter. We do not store your actual IP address, and the counter is reset each day.

Cookies

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

The aircon planner page sets a single standard session cookie from our web server. It is strictly functional, contains no personal data, and expires when you close your browser. Our staff back office also uses a login cookie, but that only applies to our own team, not to customers.

Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. Ever. We share it only where it is needed to run the service:

• Anthropic — receives your uploaded floor plan image in order to analyse it. No name, phone number or email is sent with it.
• WhatsApp (Meta) — carries the messages between you and us.
• Our web host — stores the website and its data on servers in the ordinary course of hosting.
• Our installation and servicing teams — receive the job details they need (name, address, contact number, what work is required) to turn up and do the job.
• Where the law requires it — for example a lawful request from an authority.

How long we keep it

Enquiry details are kept while we are following up with you, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to us. Job and payment records are kept as long as we need them for warranty and for the periods Singapore law requires for business records. If you ask us to delete your details, we will — see below.

Your rights

Under the PDPA you may ask us to:

• Tell you what we hold about you, and how we have used it
• Correct anything wrong — a misspelt name, an old number
• Delete your details, where we are not required to keep them
• Withdraw your consent to being contacted, at any time

Just message us on WhatsApp and say what you would like — you don't need to fill in a form or use any special wording. We will action reasonable requests promptly.

Keeping it safe

Enquiry details are stored on our server in files that are blocked from public access — they cannot be reached from the web. Access to our back office is password-protected and limited to our own team. No system is perfectly secure, but we don't collect what we don't need, which is the best protection of all.

Children

Our services are aimed at property owners and tenants. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and change the "last updated" date at the top.
