Why we pre-check first

Most aircon companies start cleaning the moment they arrive. We don't.

Many issues that look like “aircon broken” are actually drainage blockages, dirty coils, or low refrigerant — not compressor failures. And many issues that look minor turn out to be serious. Either way, you deserve to know what's actually wrong with your aircon before we start work, so you only pay for what genuinely fixes the problem.

That's why every aircons.sg service visit begins with a 10-minute, 9-point inspection. We tell you what we find. You decide what to do next.

How the pre-check works

The 9-point pre-check is included with any service booking — minimum $45 for 1 unit (no GST) covers the technician visit, the inspection, and standard servicing.
There is always a cause and always a solution. Our team identifies the issue during the pre-check and gives you a clear, final-price quote (no GST surcharge) for the right fix.
If standard servicing is what your aircon needs, your $45 IS the service — no extra charge for the diagnosis.
If the fix needs more (gas top-up, chemical wash, parts, repair), we quote it transparently. If you proceed, the $45 minimum is part of the total — no double-charge.
If you choose not to proceed with the recommended fix (cost too high, want to think it over, etc.), the $45 covers our visit and diagnosis. Nothing extra.
No upselling. No pressure. Honest diagnosis, fair quote, your decision.

The 9 points we check

Power & thermostat test

Confirms electrical supply, board response, and remote/thermostat function before any disassembly.

Temperature drop measurement

Measures the difference between intake and output air. Tells us if the issue is gas-related or cleaning-related.

Compressor pressure reading

Professional gauges check refrigerant pressure (R32 / R410A / R22). Detects gas leaks before they damage the compressor.

Drainage flow check

Verifies the drainage pipe is clear. Blocked drains are the #1 cause of aircon water leaks in HDB and condo units.

Outdoor condenser inspection

Visual check of fan, condenser coil, and external pipework. Catches fan failure and coil corrosion early.

Fan blower spin test

Listens for bearing noise, checks blower wheel for cracks or imbalance. Prevents motor burnout.

We physically inspect for rust, refrigerant oil stains, cracked piping, and any visible damage.

We tell you honestly whether you need a general service or a chemical wash. Never sold the wrong service.

How does the pre-check work — is there a fee?

The 9-point pre-check is included with any service booking. The minimum is $45 (1 unit, no GST), which covers the technician visit, the full inspection, AND standard servicing if that's what your aircon needs. There's no separate pre-check fee.

What if I just want a check, not a service?

We don't offer a standalone "check only" visit — the pre-check is bundled with servicing because the inspection and the service are done in the same visit by the same technician. The $45 covers both.

What if the pre-check shows my aircon needs more than basic servicing?

We tell you exactly what it needs — gas top-up, chemical wash, parts replacement, etc. — and give you a clear quote. If you proceed, the $45 minimum is part of the total (no double-charge). If you decide not to proceed with the recommended fix (cost too high, want to think it over, etc.), the $45 covers the visit and diagnosis only.

How long does the pre-check take?

About 10–15 minutes. All 9 inspection points are completed before any servicing or repair work begins. If the issue is straightforward and you approve the work on the spot, we proceed immediately and the whole visit is usually 45–90 minutes per unit.

What if you find a problem?

We explain it clearly — what's wrong, why it matters, what it costs to fix, and what happens if you don't fix it. Then you decide. No pressure tactics, no upselling.

Why do other companies skip the pre-check?

Most companies are paid per-service, so they're incentivised to start servicing immediately — even if the issue is something servicing alone can't fix. We do the pre-check first so we never sell you the wrong service.
