Most aircon companies start cleaning the moment they arrive. We don't.

Many issues that look like "aircon broken" are actually drainage blockages, dirty coils, or low refrigerant — not compressor failures. And many issues that look minor turn out to be serious. Either way, we believe you deserve to know what's actually wrong with your aircon before you spend money on a service that may not fix it.

That's why every aircons.sg visit begins with a free, 10-minute, 9-point inspection. We tell you what we find. You decide what to do.

Power & thermostat test

Confirms electrical supply, board response, and remote/thermostat function before any disassembly.

Temperature drop measurement

Measures the difference between intake and output air. Tells us if the issue is gas-related or cleaning-related.

Compressor pressure reading

Professional gauges check refrigerant pressure (R32 / R410A / R22). Detects gas leaks before they damage the compressor.

Drainage flow check

Verifies the drainage pipe is clear. Blocked drains are the #1 cause of aircon water leaks in HDB and condo units.

Outdoor condenser inspection

Visual check of fan, condenser coil, and external pipework. Catches fan failure and coil corrosion early.

Fan blower spin test

Listens for bearing noise, checks blower wheel for cracks or imbalance. Prevents motor burnout.

We physically inspect for rust, refrigerant oil stains, cracked piping, and any visible damage.

We tell you honestly whether you need a general service or a chemical wash. Never sold the wrong service.

Trained ear identifies bearing wear, fan blade issues, refrigerant flow noise, or compressor stress.

What happens after the pre-check?

One of three things, based on what we find:

Everything is fine

We proceed with the service you booked (general service, chemical wash, or chemical overhaul) at the price you were quoted. Job complete in 30–90 minutes per unit.

We find something extra

We explain what's wrong (e.g. drainage blocked, gas low, coil heavily fouled), what it costs to fix, and what happens if you don't. You decide. If you want only the original service, we do only that.

🛑

Servicing won't fix it

If the issue is structural (compressor failure, major gas leak, PCB fault), servicing won't help. We tell you immediately, recommend the right repair or replacement, and you owe us nothing for the diagnosis.

Pre-check FAQ

Is the pre-check really free?

Yes, always. You owe us nothing if our pre-check reveals an issue and you decide not to proceed with repair. We don't charge for diagnosis — only for the work you authorise after seeing our findings.

How long does the pre-check take?

About 10–15 minutes. We complete all 9 inspection points before any servicing or repair work begins.

What if you find a problem?

We explain it clearly — what's wrong, why it matters, what it costs to fix, and what happens if you don't fix it. Then we let you decide. No pressure tactics, no upselling.

What if my aircon is fine and I just want a chemical wash?

Great — the pre-check still happens (we want to confirm nothing else is wrong), then we proceed with the chemical wash you booked. The pre-check protects both of us: you know your aircon is healthy, and we know the chemical wash will deliver the result you expect.

Why do other companies skip the pre-check?

Most companies are paid per-service, so they're incentivised to start servicing immediately — even if the issue is something servicing can't fix. Our model is built around long-term customer trust. A pre-check costs us 15 minutes; losing your trust costs us forever.
